I just watched the most spectacular fail and subsequent breakdown of a traffic system in my life. God, Brazil is so dumb our default browser should be Internet Explorer. (disclaimer: Internet Explorer isn't actually THAT bad, it was just a hyperbole.)

Ayup. That, and the closing off of the wider, actually drivable streets. It's sad when the only major avenue left in a city is an irregular, narrow, 2.5 lane piece of shit stretch of asphalt like the Ipiranga Avenue. Which has a godamn river running between the two ways of traffic, how did they not see that flood coming?
